Cooking With Diane: ‘Chili-spghetti’

This dish makes a great quick dinner that your family will enjoy and want you to make again and again. Try it!



1 7 ounce package spaghetti

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion (chopped)

1 can black beans (rinsed and drained)

1 can diced tomatoes

3 cloves garlic (diced)

1 4 ounce can mushrooms (chopped)

1/3 cup water

1 envelope Tex-Mex Chili seasoning

3 tablespoons shredded

Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


Cook spaghetti according to box directions. In a large skillet cook beef,onion,and garlic. When beef is cooked add beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, water, chili seasoning and Parmesan cheese. Cook about 5 minutes, then add cooked spaghetti, cover and cook another 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with mozzarella, and serve with warm garlic bread.
