Dead body found in Granite Creek, police investigating
PRESCOTT – Prescott Police are investigating the circumstances behind the death of man found early Sunday morning, March 10, in Granite Creek.
The man is believed to be in his 50s and his body was found partially submerged in the Granite Creek bed in the 400 block of South Granite Street, department’s spokesman, Lead Officer Dave Fuller, said.
The body was reported to police at 7:52 a.m. Sunday, Fuller said.
The police are withholding release of the victim’s identity at this time until family notification is made. The cause of death and circumstances surrounding it remain under investigation, Fuller said.
The body has been transferred to the county Medical Examiner’s Office.
