Obituary: Judith Lynne Pearcy
Judith Lynne Pearcy peacefully went home to be with Jesus, her Savior, on Feb. 23, 2019, at the age of 78.
She will be greatly missed and always remembered by her husband of 57 years, Don; daughter, Karen; granddaughter, Audrey (Craig); and sister, Laurita, along with numerous family and friends.
Judith was born on Nov. 25, 1940, in Evansville, Indiana, and grew up in the surrounding area with her parents, John and Helen Garrett, and siblings, Gary and Laurita. She gave her life to Jesus during summer camp at the age of nine. She loved to sing in the choir at church and school. Judith attended vocational school for secretarial work, which she did most of her working years. She and her family have lived in Arizona since 1968. She worked for Kirkland school for many years and enjoyed her time there.
Judith took joy in bird watching and reading but cherished spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren, Robyn and James. All her life she made it a point to love her family well with simple acts of kindness. Judith always cared about others and their well being. You never could leave her company without a hug. Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Friend, she will forever be in our hearts. Judith served Jesus faithfully and we rejoice that now she sees Him face to face.
There will be a memorial service held at The Potter’s House Christian Center: 5195 AZ-89, Prescott, Arizona, 86301, on March 16, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Homes and Crematory.
