Prescott senior football player Colton Amos, pictured here after signing a national letter of intent back in December, will play football for Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, an NCAA Division III program that plays in the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
Amos was accepted into the engineering program starting this fall. Amos, a 4.0 student at Prescott, was a first team All-State selection at strong safety and Grand Canyon region defensive player of the year.
He recorded 194 tackles in 2018, a school and state record. Amos was also named a first teamer for the National Football Foundation and Fiesta Bowl Charities event, which takes place Saturday, April 6, at the Hilton in Scottsdale.
