Advance tickets for Taste of the Wild on sale
Advance tickets for the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary’s annual Taste of the Wild event, held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct 6, have gone on sale.
Featuring tastes from local restaurants, wineries and breweries, behind the scenes tours of the zoo, a silent auction and drawing, entertainment, games and a DJ playing western favorites, Tickets are $75 if purchased before Wednesday, July 31, and $95 if purchased after.
The event is for those age 21 or older.

Buy some plants
The annual Monsoon Madness Plant and Yard Sale, sponsored by the Yavapai County Gardener Association, is going on from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13.
Featuring everything gardening-related, from herbs, perennials and trees to shrubs, natives, house plants, garden tools and books, most of the plants at the event have been grown by master gardeners. The free event will be held at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds, 840 Rodeo Drive. Sales are cash only.

See ‘Kiss Me Kate’ at the PCA
Prescott Center for the Arts’ Teen Summer Stock show, “Kiss Me Kate,” opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 12. A show about a troupe of actors
putting on a musical version of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew,” with songs by Cole Porter, the actors are predominantly students ages 14 to 22.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, July 12-13, and Friday and Saturday, July 19-20; and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 13-14, and Saturday and Sunday, July 20-21. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for youth, available online at www.pca-az.net.
