Letter: AED property
Here are some facts about the AED property:
It is currently located in Yavapai County where its rights include: build one house on a 2-acre lot, drill one well and dig one septic.
AED’s rights do not include building a resort or building higher density housing or building any roads that cross a public trail.
AED wants to be annexed to the City of Prescott. Why? The City of Prescott would provide water (a gold mine), sewers (another gold mine) and emergency services.
If annexed AED is required to set aside 25% of its total land for open space. We, the residents of Prescott, expect the City Council to remember its duty to us.
We expect the land set aside for open space to be of high quality. The Point of Rocks is located where the Peavine Trail and the Iron King Trail meet. This property needs to be saved for us and all who come after us.
