Catch 22 – Day 1: Catch 22 kicks off with arrest

Yavapai Silent Witness Director Chris Wilson has announced the 2019 Catch 22 campaign begins today, Feb. 1.

Every day through Feb. 22, the Sheriff’s Office will share information about a wanted fugitive from the program. A direct tip to Silent Witness resulting in the arrest of the fugitive within 90 days of the announcement will result in $500 cash reward.

Day 1’s suspect is a high-risk individual. This person is considered armed and dangerous.

Update: According to Silent Witness, just prior to the Courier’s press time Thursday night, this suspect has been arrested.

Name: Marcel Jacob Lira, 27, 5-foot-9, weighing 185 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Charges: Probation Violation/Misconduct involving weapons.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Lira regarding a probation violation. His last known address is in the 1500 block of Prescott Drive, Chino Valley, Arizona, and he is likely in the Chino Valley/Paulden areas of Yavapai County.

Lira is a prohibited possessor known to carry handguns, wear body armor, and possess an AR15 as well as other rifles.

Lira drives a black Toyota Pickup truck bearing Arizona License of BZR7311.

If you have information that leads to the arrest of No. 1 of “CATCH 22,” you could earn a $500 cash reward. To earn the reward, you must call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 with your information within 90 days of this article. Remember, you never have to give your name.
