Minority Co-Whip Reginald Bolding made a motion for a role call vote to expel Rep. David Stringer on the Arizona House floor Monday afternoon.

The motion was made after revelations were brought to light by a Phoenix newspaper last week that Stringer was charged with sex offenses in 1983, including at least one involving child pornography.

Stringer, R-Prescott, has faced numerous calls for his resignation in the past year following a series of racist comments.

Bolding's motion was not successful, as members of the House instead voted to recess and allow an ethics committee to review the latest allegations.
