Prescott Area Home Watch now open

There are things that go bump in the night and those that bump back.

Dan and Fran Russel, a husband-and-wife team, opened the Prescott Home Watch on Tuesday, Jan. 15, to help keep tabs on them.

This local business offers home watch services in the quad-city area.

“This service is targeted to owners whose homes are unoccupied for an extended period, are vacationing or need to travel suddenly,” Dan Russel said.

Home Watch promises to conduct regularly scheduled checks on client homes. They will check if the home is safe and secure, both inside and out, and go over major home systems, such as irrigation, water, electrical, heating and air conditioning, to see if they are functioning properly.

Prescott Area Home Watch can be reached through its website at, email at or called directly at 928-233-6101.

Daylight Donuts opening soon

Hmmm, donuts — as Homer Simpsons drools. Get ready: Daylight Donuts of Prescott will conduct a soft opening Thursday, Jan. 31.

The donut shop, located at 811 Whipple St., will serve classic donuts, coffee and other breakfast items. Store hours will be from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kara Woods, part owner of Daylight Donuts of Prescott, said this soft opening will give the store more time for a larger opening sometime in March.

Audio Plus relocating

Audio Plus, 2225 E. Highway 69, Prescott, is preparing to move and downsize.

Store manager Brent Simonson said this week Audio Plus is still selling car audio and 12-volt accessories, adding that some of those products are selling for up to half-off at the moment.

The store’s current location will close on Feb. 28 and the new location — 3739 Karicio Lane, Suite B, Prescott — will open March 4.

Audio Plus will focus on offering home entertainment equipment and services, such as smart home technology and other forms of home automation, in addition to car audio items. For more information, call 928-771-9454.
