Bulldozers have been active along Windsong Drive as construction moves forward on the 108-bed senior living housing facility.

The Prescott Valley Town Council approved the Final Development Plan Sept. 28, 2017, for the construction and operation of an assisted living, independent living and memory care community on 4.78 acres located west of Windsong Drive and south of Lakeshore Drive. It is adjacent to Good Samaritan Nursing Homes and the Windsong Villas.

The development will be licensed for 108 beds within 92 living units, town documents from the 2017 council meeting indicate.

Council members had already rezoned about 29 acres, of which this property is a part of, from RCU-70 (Residential; Single Family, Rural) to C1-PAD (Commercial; Neighborhood Sales and Services PAD) in 2007. In July 2017, Windsong Senior Living requested another zoning change to RS-PAD (Residential; Sales and Services Planned Area Development), which the council approved in September 2017.
