Online registration underway for Prescott’s household hazardous waste collection
The City of Prescott Solid Waste Division will offer residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted household hazardous waste with home collections during the first three weeks of March.
The materials accepted include unwanted paint, pesticides, cleaners, old mercury thermometers and batteries, according to a news release from the city. Empty containers and dry latex paint can go in your regular trash.
Residents can sign up online for the service until March 1. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Collection will begin Monday, March 4.
To schedule an appointment, residents should visit the City of Prescott webpage, www.prescott-az.gov and type “Household Hazardous Waste” in the Search bar.
