Pair of rollovers keep firefighters busy Friday
Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority (CAFMA) responded to two rollover crashes Friday night, Feb. 1.
At around 11 p.m., a man was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center with life threatening injuries after a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 89.
The crash occurred near Deep Well Ranch Road, north of the Ernest A. Love Field Airport, according to the CAFMA Facebook page and the Arizona Department of Transportation.
A news release from ADOT stated the highway’s northbound lanes were briefly closed because of the crash. All lanes were reopened before 11:30 p.m.
Another rollover occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Highway 69 just east of Truwood Drive in Prescott Valley, according to Battalion Chief Brad Davis. One man in his 50s sustained minor injuries and was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s East Campus.
Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler information site at www.az511.gov, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed, @ArizonaDOT. When a freeway closure or other major traffic event occurs, ADOT’s free app, available at www.ADOTAlerts.com, will send critical information directly to app users in affected areas – where possible, in advance of alternate routes.
