Sugar & the Mint perform
Local band Sugar & the Mint are performing at the Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center Saturday, Aug. 31, benefitting the Community Outreach and Scholarship Program.
Taking the stage at 7 p.m., the band has a spirited take on folk and bluegrass that has excited audiences across the country. They’ve shared festival bills with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Emmylou Harris, the Punch Brothers, Jerry Douglass, Tommy Emmanuel, the Sam Bush Band and more.

Enjoy a Labor Day arts & crafts show
The Prescott Chamber of Commerce is presenting its annual Faire on the Square Arts and Crafts Show this Labor Day Weekend. More than 130 vendors are expected with their fine art, jewelry, food and more.
Held at the courthouse plaza, the free event is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1 and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2.

Listen to some Blues
The Northern Arizona Blues Alliance is sponsoring a mini blues festival, called the Day of the Living Blues Harp Two Festival,” at Watson Lake Saturday, Aug. 31.
Held from 1 to 5 p.m., admission is free and parking is $3 per carload. Scheduled to appear are Ray Desylvester with Garry Segal, Popp Harpman with the Scott O’Neal Band, Larry Polk and Superchief, and Tall Paul Epoch with The Electric Swamp Poets.
