Last Week: Prescott – The Badgers opened the 2019 campaign with a 34-24 loss to Desert Edge in Week 1, but gave the Scorpions all they could handle and then some. NCAA Division I quarterback recruit Adryan Lara threw 3 touchdowns against Prescott’s defense, but Sylas Espitia, Sam Giordan and Trey Koehler each scored to keep the Badgers close; Canyon Del Oro – Gavin Davis had 13 carries for 135 yards and five touchdowns in the Dorados’ 59-0 win over Flowing Wells in Week 1.

Last Meeting: Canyon Del Oro 35, Prescott 23 (Sept. 21, 2018, in Tucson)

The Setting: The Badgers are scheduled to play at Ken Lindley Field in downtown Prescott for the first time since the 1960s, and with Canyon Del Oro in town, considered one of the Top 10 teams in the 4A conference this year, things could get interesting. Look for the Badgers to key in on outstanding Dorados tailback Gavin Davis defensively. On offense, senior quarterback Dellin Boyd could be interesting to watch as he continues to get a feel for starting games under center.

Players to Watch: Prescott – Sr. QB/FS Dellin Boyd, Sr. RB Sylas Espitia; Sr. WR/DB Jacob Police; Sr. TE/DE Aaron Greene; Sr. LB/RB Sam Giordan; Sr. DT/ Nathan Goligoski; Canyon Del Oro – Sr. RB Gavin Davis; Jr. QB Montana Neustadter; Jr. K David Alvarado;
