Detectives with the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) continue to seek the whereabouts of a Black Canyon City man who went missing in Aug. 2017.

At the time of his dissapearance, 50-year-old Casey Nethercott was the owner of the Black Canyon Feed Store, according to a YCSO news release. A concerned friend filed the missing person’s report after not seeing or hearing from Nethercott in three weeks. Those who know Nethercott told YCSO deputies this was unusual because he usually made plans known when leaving the area for an extended period of time.

Nethercott’s vehicles, cell phone and wallet were all found at his residence, as was the medication for his diabetes, YCSO reported.

Nethercott is described as a 5-foot-11, bald caucasian weighing about 240 pounds with blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Nethercott’s whereabouts are encouraged to contact the YCSO at 928-771-3260 and refer to case 17-033530. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232, or use the online tip application available at www.yavapaisw.com.

“Any tip, even if seemingly insignificant, may be valuable to investigating detectives,” YCSO spokesperson Dwight D’Evelyn said.
