Obituary: Natalia Medina Hannon
Natalia Medina Hannon born June 24, 1949, in Cottonwood, Arizona, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019.
Before retiring, Natalia taught Spanish at Rhodes Junior High in Mesa, Arizona, for over 20 years, and was recognized as Teacher of the Year. Natalia is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Medina; her sister, Carmen Calderon; and her two grandsons, Avniel and Avery Usher. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack; her son, John David (Romie); her daughters, Monique Rushing (Mike), Eva Zemberi and Teresita Hannon Nowak. Natalia was a grandmother to 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services for Natalia will be on Thursday, Aug. 22, as follows: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Visitation at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald St., Mesa, Arizona; 10 to 11 a.m., Mass at Queen of Peace, 141 N. Macdonald St., Mesa, Arizona. Reception to follow at John David and Romie Hannon’s house in Mesa (address will be provided at the Visitation/Mass) at 12:30 p.m.
