Rants & Raves: Aug. 11, 2019
Got something on your mind? Tell us about it in 40 words or less.
— Beautifying Glassford Hill Road now with all the existing poor road conditions untouched. We (taxpayers/voters) may need more transparency from the council before we see construction equipment one morning.
— Unhappy to see YRMC employees smoking curbside on Willow Creek Road, beside the hospital.
— Curious as to why the City of Prescott thinks it’s cheaper to ignore repairing/maintaining pot holes and extreme deterioration of streets such as Garland Drive and many others, and then having to completely redo them later at much higher costs?
— Just because you criticize something in your family, state or country doesn’t mean you hate them. It means you love them and want them to be better. To accept them as is means you don’t give a darn.
— Have you noticed when elected officials need money not in the budget they raise taxes? When we need money not in our budget, we don’t eat for a while. Work within the budget. A new concept.
— Stop the political pandering on both sides and think of those who drove to a cemetery last week to say goodbye to a loved one.
— RE: County supervisors see plans for Criminal Justice Facility. How can the supervisors forge ahead with plans to tax property owners for a new jail that they have not even convinced the public of its necessity?
— I’m not the least bit interested in your 2nd Amendment rights. I’m interested in the “right to life” that includes not being mowed down by a military assault weapon.
— We either need to defeat the NRA at the ballot box, or permanently lower our flags to half-staff. Might as well cut off the top half and recycle the steel.
