Letter: Loving Prescott
There are so many things to like about our town of Prescott where I have been fortunate to reside for the last 20 years. I love the small-town feel, the friendly residents, its rich history reflected in the architecture, and especially all the beautiful open space with gorgeous views of forest, mountains, lakes and, of course, the unique beauty of the DELLS.
When I return to Prescott after being away for a while and I see the beautiful, unique rock formations of the DELLS come into view, It gives me a good feeling ... I know that I am home.
It would be a sad day in the history of Prescott (and a sad day for most residents) if this beautiful and unique treasure were ruined forever by development. On the subject of development in the DELLS, I recently heard the comment “we have enough open space.” While all open, unspoiled land is valuable and worth saving, how can the uniqueness of the DELLS be thought of as just another piece of open space?
