Cooking with Diane: Cast Iron Skillet Peach Cobbler

My family loves peaches to this cobbler was a big hit. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

Cast Iron Skillet Peach Cobbler


1 package frozen peaches

1 stick of butter (melted)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon cardamon

1 cup flour

1 cup milk

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Pinch of salt


Lay peaches evenly in bottom of the skillet, pour melted butter over the peaches, then sprinkle brown sugar over peaches. In a bowl mix flour, cinnamon, cardamon, sugar, lemon juice, milk and salt, mix until smooth. Pour over the top of peach mixture. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until top is golden.
