Impaired teen backs car into Prescott Valley home, police say
Passenger charged with furnishing alcohol to minor
An 18-year-old woman apparently under the influence of alcohol lost control of the vehicle she was driving and backed into a Prescott Valley home on Monday afternoon, April 15, according to police.
Daphne Brown was driving a red 2005 Ford Mustang when it struck a house near the 4400 block of North Sheridan Lane, according to a release from the Prescott Valley Police Department.
The release states Brown showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol; an officer conducted a portable breath test that indicated Brown’s blood alcohol level to be extreme. She was transported to Yavapai Regional Medical Center (YRMC) East Campus by medical personnel, according to the release.
A passenger in the Mustang, Erlinda Bristow, 49, also was transported to YRMC and found to be under the influence of alcohol.
Brown and Bristow were not injured, nor was anyone from the home, the release states.
Brown was cited for driving while under the influence, a misdemeanor, and other DUI charges; criminal damage, a felony; and no driver’s license, according to the release. Bristow was facing complaints including furnishing alcohol to a minor, a misdemeanor, and a civil traffic charge.
