PRESCOTT — Prescott girls tennis continues its romp through 2019 as the Badgers shut out Deer Valley 9-0 in their penultimate match of the season on Thursday.

However, undefeated Notre Dame Prep’s latest victory clinched the Section II title for the Saints.

As stellar as the Badgers have been, their loss to Notre Dame Prep on March 19 is the only blemish that kept them from being perfect this season. Prescott can still manage to finish with the same record as Notre Dame Prep if the Badgers win and the Saints lose their next games, but the Saints would still hold the tiebreaker.

Despite coming up short for the Section II title, Prescott is still ranked No. 3 out of 66 teams in the Division II rankings behind Catalina Foothills and Notre Dame Prep.

The Badgers (12-1, 6-1 Section) will seek to end their regular season on a nine-game winning streak as they face off against Mingus (3-10, 1-6 Section) on Monday
