Where: Tucson

Courier Coverage: Follow sports writer Brian M. Bergner Jr. on Twitter at @NewsSportsNotes for updates on Friday night’s game.

Records: Prescott (3-1, 1-0 Grand Canyon); Canyon Del Oro (3-1, 0-0 Kino)

Last Week: Prescott — Thanks to three Bryce Peters field goals, including one with 4 seconds left to tie the game at 24-24 and force overtime, and a Clay Gross game-winner, the Badgers finally earned a 27-24 win at their own personal house-of-horrors, the NAU Walkup Skydome, under head coach Cody Collett, who was 0-2 before last Friday night; Canyon Del Oro — The Dorados are coming off back-to back blowout victories over Pusch Ridge (33-7) and Amphitheater (46-0) and have won three straight overall.

Last Meeting: Canyon Del Oro 54, Prescott 21 (Nov. 14, 2008, in Tucson, Ariz.)

The Setting: Prescott’s thrilling overtime victory over rival Flagstaff a week ago made it three straight victories for Collett’s bunch, which haven’t lost since Week 1 against a state title-contending Desert Edge club, 40-17. This matchup against Canyon Del Oro is a makeup game as the two clubs were supposed to face one another in Week 2 in Tucson before lightning storms forced game officials to postpone the contest.
