Kiwanis Club of Prescott hosts Phillips Classic golf tournament Sept. 22 at Stone Ridge

The Kiwanis Club of Prescott will play host to the fifth annual John F. Phillips Classic Memorial Golf Tournament at noon Saturday, Sept. 22. Golfer check-in is at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m., at Stone Ridge Golf Course, 1601 Bluff Top Drive, in Prescott Valley. Cost is $110 per player, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, a buffet dinner and prizes, including a 50/50 raffle. Dinner-only guests pay $33 per person.
Yavapai County tennis tournament set for Sept. 21-23 in Prescott
The 2018 Yavapai County NTRP Tournament is scheduled to take place Friday, Sept. 21, through Sunday, Sept. 23, at Yavapai College in Prescott. The divisions include: Men’s and women’s singles, NTRP 3.0-50; men’s and women’s doubles, open NTRP 6.0-10.0; and mixed doubles, open NTRP 6.0-10.0. 3rd annual Sons of the American Legion Golf Tournament set for Sept. 29
The third annual Sons of the American Legion Golf Tournament is set for a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Quailwood Greens Golf Course in Dewey. Golfers are asked to arrive by 8 a.m. to sign in. The two-person scramble format will be scored using the Callaway Method. There are four hole-in-one prizes up for grabs, including $8,000 in cash, a big screen TV, a set of Callaway irons or airplane tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S. A $55 entry fee is required to sign up, and the tournament is limited to 72 players. New Horizons’ inaugural charity golf tournament set for Oct. 6 at Antelope Hills
New Horizons Disability Empowerment Center is presenting its “Help Others Take a Swing” inaugural charity golf tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Antelope Hills Golf Course, 1 Perkins Drive, in Prescott. Sign-in is from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on the Oct. 6. Cost is $85 per person or $300 per foursome. Lunch from 1-2:30 p.m. is included, and it will feature a grilled chicken fajita buffet. Tournament proceeds will support the advancement and development of classes and mentor-led support programs, as well as computer lab classes, adaptive fitness programs and living well with a disability classes, among others. A hole-in-one challenge, kiddie pool splash challenge, closest to the pin contest, longest-drive contest, 50/50 KP challenge, putting tournament and chipping tournament will also be part of the festivities.
