Yavapai Humane Society announces expanded Walk-In Vaccination Clinic days

Yavapai Humane Society Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic, located at 2989 Centerpointe East in Prescott, first opened its doors in September of 2009. Since then, the low-cost clinic has been focused on keeping area pets healthy by providing publicly owned pets with affordable wellness services and reduced fee spay/neuter surgeries.

Yavapai Humane Society’s (YHS) Friday Walk-In Vaccination Clinics offer low-cost wellness services, a first come first serve walk-in model for patients, and no appointment fees. This model has proven popular with many responsible pet owners and draws 90-100 pet parents each Friday.

The popularity of Friday Walk-In Vaccination Clinics along with feedback from some pet owners expressing the inability to make it to a Friday clinic has led YHS Spay/Neuter and Wellness Clinic to start Saturday Walk-In Vaccination Clinics beginning Sept. 22.

Christine Campbell, YHS Medical Services Director says “YHS wants to make pet vaccinations as easy and cost effective as possible. Having the Clinic open on Saturdays allows us to continue to do this while serving a greater population of people and their pets.”

Saturday Clinics will begin on Sept. 22 with doors opening at 8 a.m. For a full list of services offered at the Friday and Saturday Walk-In Vaccination Clinics visit www.yavapaihumane.org/clinic.
