Letter: Left, Right and Center

Editor:

Without intending to join a bandwagon for either party, I am amazed at the efforts that they will both go through to distance themselves from each other. Some will go so far as to claim that their opposites have virtually nothing to offer. Really?

Is it human nature that allows us to pick extreme sides and then pitch our tents there? Or is it merely an insatiable thirst for power that drives them?

If one side has pots and water while the other side has yeast and flour, can’t they see that bread can be made if they work together? How stubborn does one have to be to avoid participating in negotiations for the common good?

Color me in the center.
