Large police presence at Prescott High School; law enforcement clearing campus

Police search for armed person at Prescott High School, turn up nothing

The Daily Courier spoke with Brian Moore, the district's Chief Financial Officer, who said when he arrived at the school at 5:45 p.m., officers were already there.
Law enforcement has been clearing all of the buildings; no students were on campus, only custodial staff.
As of 8:15 p.m. it appears police are wrapping up. The Courier witnessed officers with rifles leaving the scene.

The Daily Courier has been receiving reports from the public through phone calls and social media that there is a large police presence at Prescott High School Friday evening.
Shortly after 6 p.m., reports on social media indicated a large number of police cars at Prescott High School. A teen was reportedly being sought.
A Courier reporter stated from the scene authorities - Prescott Police officers and Yavapai County Sheriff's deputies - were working to clear the school area, and the campus appears to be surrounded. More than one dozen law enforcement vehicles were at the campus.
The Courier has reached out to authorities in Prescott but has not been able to get more information.
