Obituary: Rodger Paul Timian
Rodger Paul Timian (1938-2018) Rodger succumbed to cancer at the age of 80 in his home in Prescott Valley, Arizona, and now on to his new home with his Lord and Savior. Rodger was born in Syracuse, New York, at home, and the family moved to LaFayette, New York, at the age of 16. He loved, played, and officiated sports ‘til he was 78. He graduated from Grimshaw High School and attended CCBI Business School, and from there he entered the grocery business for 28 years, the last 20 years in management. He then retired from there and ventured into owning three cafés for 12 more years. Retiring, again, he and his wife moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona. Rodger leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Donnalee, his two sons, Matthew of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Jeffrey with his wife Kathy who purchased the family home in LaFayette, New York. Rodger has a sister, Emily and her husband Pastor Jim Hinkle in Michigan and brothers, Richard and Walter and his wife Karen in the Syracuse area. He had several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at Mountain Valley Church of God, 8123 E. Manley Drive, Prescott Valley, Arizona, on Sept. 22, at 11 a.m.
