Character Counts here at Del Rio School! To kick off our Character Counts program this school year, we focused on the character trait of responsibility in the month of August. Nominated for demonstrating this character trait is Eddie Millan, a student in Mrs. Ahrendt’s fifth-grade class.
Only one month into school, Eddie has shined as a SUPER Student! He follows directions quickly and is always doing what is expected with a bright smile on his face. Eddie has embraced all the responsibilities of the fifth grade and is exceeding expectations. “Eddie tries hard and his hard work is paying off… I had him in Kindergarten when he couldn’t speak English, but look at him now, he not only can speak two languages fluently, he excels in all aspects of school,” said Mrs. Ahrendt.
When asked about why Character Counts matters, Eddie responded with, “We should all be nice to each other, it is easy to do the right thing … so do it!” We are so proud of Eddie and the example he sets for all of us here at Del Rio School. Way to go and thank you for setting the bar high!
