Rants & Raves: Sept. 9, 2018

Got something on your mind? Tell us about it in 40 words or less.

  • A Prayer vs. Sales Taxes: Our Father who art in Heaven ... Give us this day our daily bread ... and please punish those politicians who tax food and other basic household necessities.

  • John Kyl replaces John McCain: That tells me one thing – there isn’t much to choose from in Arizona.

  • Japan is one of our best friends. Japan also seems to be getting pounded by numerous typhoons and earthquakes. Say a prayer for our friends.

  • Now, according to the left wing AP, former President Obama claims the robust economy we are experiencing started on his watch. Did he forget his claim that at “1 to 2 percent GDP was the new normal”? Who’s the liar?

  • Summer concert series on the plaza was excellent as always. How about trading the brutally hot evenings of June for these beautifully comfortable evenings of September in 2019?

  • Maybe the people who complain about loud restaurants should order out. Stay home if you don’t like noise!

  • I heartily applaud the efforts to save the Dells – they should have been declared a national monument long ago. Ironic that the city did not see its potential to draw tourists and their money.

  • Tailgating me when I am doing 45 mph when the speed limit is 40 will NOT get me to move over. Speed limit means just that.

  • To the man at a local restaurant on Aug. 31 around 6 p.m. in a red T-shirt showing obscene words and gestures. Would you please explain it to my 9-year-old grandson? Your grandmother?
