Edwin “Dale” Cooley, 82, passed away Aug. 21, 2018, in his hometown of Prescott, Arizona. Dale was born in Raub, North Dakota, to Edwin and Mabel Cooley on Aug. 3, 1936. He had five siblings to include one sister and four brothers.
He graduated from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington. Dale married Loretta Swihart, the love of his life, on July 4, 1971, in Prescott.
He was a talented floor carpenter in Prescott and its surrounding area. In his early years, Dale enjoyed hunting and boating with his family and friends.
One could always expect to hear him retelling memories or find him playing a good game of cribbage and cards.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Cooley of Prescott; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kelli Cooley of Prescott; brothers, Wayne, Vernon, Gary and Dan Cooley of Washington; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Opal Swick of Washington. Dale will be greatly missed by his many family members and friends.
