FLAGSTAFF — Bradshaw Mountain’s volleyball squad succumbed to 4A Grand Canyon region unbeaten Flagstaff on Tuesday, Oct. 16, dropping to third place in the seven-team standings with three league matches left in the 2018 regular season.
With the 18-25, 13-25, 17-25 loss, the 14th-ranked Bears now own a 9-5 overall record and a 6-3 mark in region. Meanwhile, the No. 4 Eagles continue to cruise, improving to 15-1 and 10-0. They have all but clinched the Grand Canyon region title.
For Bradshaw Mountain, Mailani Manuel paced the attack, notching seven kills and six digs. Setter Saylor Ford registered 10 assists, while Jordyn Moser had five kills and seven digs. Reillie Smith added seven digs.
The Bears have three matches to go on their regular-season schedule, all in region.
They first visit Lee Williams (7-8 overall, 5-6 region) at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. They will then play host to Mohave (4-11, 1-9) at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Gary Kunow Gym in Prescott Valley, and rival Prescott at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Prescott Valley Event Center.
Flagstaff travels to second-place Prescott (8-6, 8-2) for a 6 p.m. match on Oct. 18, before playing host to rival Coconino at 6 p.m. Oct. 23.
