Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public's help identifying a man and woman suspected of using counterfeit money at a Family Dollar store in Cordes Lake on Saturday night.

According to YCSO, the couple came into the store on E Hitching Post around 6:30 p.m. They made separate purchases at the register, each paying with a counterfeit $100 bill.

The register employee was initially unsure of the authenticity of the currency until a supervisor confirmed the bills were fake. Deputies also confirmed the bills were counterfeit based on missing security features.
