Edward V. Comeau

On Nov. 11, 2018 (Veterans Day), Edward V. Comeau was carried on the wings of a great eagle to the Kingdom of Heaven. He was born Jan. 16, 1934, in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Comeau; and a brother, Joseph W. Comeau. Ed is survived by his wife, Karen; children: Rick Comeau, Kim Rieger and Marc Comeau; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ed was previously married to Phyllis (Butler) Comeau for 57 years.

Ed lived in Massachusetts for several years until he moved to Tucson, Arizona. Ed moved to California in 1977. He accepted a job, Chief of Contracts and Procurement, and worked there from 1988 to June 1993 and retired in 1994. In 1995 until June 2011, Ed had his own business, Comeau Consulting classes in Procurement and Instruction.

Ed had a zest for life and was adventurous. He enjoyed camping, walking trails, his dune buggy in California, and fishing. He got his nickname “Booney,” as he liked to be in the boonies wherever he happened to be.

There will be no memorial service at this time. A Celebration of Life will be planned for Spring of 2019 as per Ed’s final wishes.

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31.
