Ashley Home Store open
Ashley HomeStore has opened a Prescott location in what used to be The Roomstore next to the Prescott Gateway Mall. The grand opening took place Friday, Nov. 16.
The 42,000 space has been vacant ever since The Roomstore closed shortly after its Phoenix LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2015.
Similar to The Roomstore, Ashley HomeStore offers a wide variety of furniture, mattresses and other home décor. The next nearest Ashley HomeStore is in the Phoenix metro area, where there are five locations
YRMC West expansion details
A new space is currently under construction at Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s Prescott campus.
When complete, it will be home to YRMC’s third cardiac catheterization lab, which will be used to support a variety of cardiac procedures through the James Family Heart Center.
The new 13,000-square-foot space will also accommodate 12 new cardiovascular intensive care beds that are part of the James Family Heart Center.
The estimated completion date is spring of 2019.
Sprouts Grab N Give program
Now through Dec. 31, shoppers can purchase pre-packed “Grab ‘N Give” bags filled with pantry staples or personal care items at a 10 percent discount that Sprouts will donate on their behalf to a local food bank.
Donation bags are about $10 and include canned food, nonperishable groceries and body care products.
Last year, Sprouts shoppers donated more than 370,000 bags filled with groceries, providing more than 2.3 million meals to those in need, according to a news release.
