Nobel Peace Prize winners to appear Nov. 18 in Prescott

Dominican Sisters Carol Gilbert and Ardeth Platte, 2017 recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize, will speak at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Prescott Public Library, Founders Suite B, 215 E. Goodwin St.

Working toward a world without nuclear weapons, the two women will talk about their advocacy work for the worldwide prohibition of nuclear weapons as members of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.

The two have spent more than 15 years combined in jails and prisons during their many years of working for justice and peace.
