Letter: Writing about hate
In the Oct. 31 Daily Courier Tom Cantlon said Michael Reagan is obviously wrong for accusing those who disagree with him of having nothing but hate. Cantlon says it is dangerous and irresponsible. He said nothing about the comments of Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton, or Eric Holder, not to mention CNN’s comments about Trump, such as worse than ISIS, Nazi, Hitler. He makes no mention of the headline of the Washington Post tying the pipe bomber to Trump. How irresponsible of Cantlon.
Cantlon said some news sources lie repeatedly that democrats want open borders. (They don’t.) Really? If they don’t why do they oppose the wall? Why do they want to abolish ICE? Why do they object to the enforcement of laws that are on the books?
Cantlon makes many allegations that are anti-Trump and/or anti-republicans with no support or specifics. He also love to throw in that special word “racist.” Cantlon’s comment that bugs me the most is when he said “anger on his side comes from actions by current leadership that they rightly oppose and which rightly warrant an angry response.” What arrogance! Cantlon’s presumption of omniscience makes me angry and rightly so.
