The OffStreet Festival Arts & Crafts Show is this weekend, once again held in the Prescott Chamber of Commerce’s parking lot.
Though the show has had other locations in the past, it’s been in the parking lot for about 10 years, according to organizer Jill Currey. This year, there’s 12 new vendors and about 60 altogether, Currey said.
“We always shave some interesting new vendors at this one,” she said. “We can open it to any kind of information type thing; it can be ready-made items rather than handcrafted or embellished. It always gets something different than usual in it.”
Because of the variation in this show from the other shows the Chamber of Commerce puts on at courthouse plaza, this festival is a little more relaxed, Currey said.
It’s held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 28. The Prescott Chamber of Commerce is located at 117 W. Goodwin St.
There’s really something for everyone at the show, Currey said. There are vendors selling everything from straw hats to hot tubs, she said. Further, even though there’s a number of people selling jewelry, they are all different for one another and it’s a completely diversified kind of show, Currey said. Painters and potters come as well and there is a variety of price ranges, she said.
“A lot of them have something that they offer that’s rather inexpensive,” Currey said. “Easy for people to afford something fun to take home from the weekend.”
People are expected to come not only from the Quad City area, but from the Phoenix area, she said. Memorial Day Weekend is the first long weekend of the summer, meaning people are coming up from the Valley and they are always welcome, Currey said.
