Master Chef Prescott II — a culinary adventure themed, “Passport To Paris” — is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Prescott Meals On Wheels, 1280A Rosser St., Prescott.
Harley Ray Guy will be teaching a full-day class for four honorable U.S. VETS residents being retrained in the culinary arts. The class culminates with a celebration dinner open to the public. Tickets are $75 per person.
Each course is orchestrated by Guy and his guest chefs with a “French flare.” Proceeds will benefit two local nonprofits, Prescott Meals on Wheels and U.S. VETS - Prescott.
Guy, a Prescott native, said food is a serious matter for him. “It gave me the respect to save my life,” he said. “I pay back the respect by putting my heart and soul into every dish.”
He has worked his way to chef from the ground up, and his menus can be found at the Park Plaza Liquor and Deli.
He has years of culinary expertise and his innovative flavor profiles and crowd-pleasing classics and seasonal menus maintain a close relationships with local farmers.
