On Friday, March 16, the Yavapai County Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution paid a visit to American Legion Post 122 in Cordes Lakes for their monthly meeting.

It was a pleasure to host the ladies and they presented the Post with an award for Patriotic Service, which is exceptionally important to this post, since it is one of the smaller posts in the state and the members work hard to promote Americanism.

The award was accepted by Commander Ron Johnson and Vice Commander Jerry Schultz with the award being made by Sue Burk on behalf of their Chapter. Coffee and cookies after the meeting allowed a bit of social time and then Chuck Leon provided the ladies with a tour of Henry Cordes Park where the two war monuments, which are listed on the National Monuments list, are installed.

Post 122 thanks the Daughters of the American Revolution for noticing the activities of the Post members and providing this certificate of recognition.
