Young man flown to Phoenix hospital after motorcycle accident
Was not wearing a helmet
A 21-year-old man was flown to a Phoenix-area hospital by Native Air Ambulance after a self-inflicted motorcycle accident Friday afternoon, March 9, said Dan Morgan, Prescott Fire Department Battalion chief.
The man was testing out his dirt bike in a neighborhood in Country Park Estates off Willow Creek Road in Prescott at around 3 p.m. when he slid out on some gravel and received a significant head injury, Morgan said.
“He was conscious and alert, so he should do fine, but he wasn’t wearing a helmet and was in shorts,” Morgan said.
One Prescott fire engine, a battalion chief, a Lifeline ambulance and the Prescott Police Department responded to the accident in addition to the helicopter, Morgan said.
