Talk on celebrities, artists, imbibing Saturday at Phippen Museum
Writer and adventurer Lisa Schnebly-Heidinger will present a talk on Celebrities, Artists … and Good Places to Drink at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Phippen Museum.
The program takes a unique look at some of the people who have had outrageous adventures, weddings and unusual experiences, while also exploring some of the places they lifted a glass, and why you might want to follow their example.
For 35 years Schnebly-Heidinger has discovered that “journalism is history on the fly,” and that the past informs the present. She has honed the craft of rooting out and sharing stories in newspaper, radio, television, magazines, editorial columns and books. Lisa entered a drug tunnel, dined with polygamist families, walked through plane crash debris, and interviewed death row inmates before taking on the truly risky pursuit of raising a family.
This presentation is offered in collaboration with Arizona Humanities’ Speakers Bureau, AZ Speaks and is free for museum members and guests with paid admission.
