Man accused of murder in Green Valley shooting

GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff’s officials say a man has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in a shooting.
They say deputies responded to a home in Green Valley early Tuesday and found 53-year-old Russell Santos with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Sheriff’s officials say Santos was dead at the scene. They say the home belongs to 67-year-old Bradley Lewis, who told 911 dispatchers he was the one who shot Santos.
The motive for the shooting is not immediately clear.
Investigators have determined there was a domestic relationship between the two men.
Sheriff’s officials say Lewis has been booked into the county jail.
It’s unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
Teenager killed after truck hits car at a Goodyear red light
GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Authorities say a 13-year-old boy is dead after a pickup truck hit a car from behind at a Goodyear intersection.
Goodyear police say the teenager was in a passenger car that was stopped at a red light before being struck about 7:45 p.m. Monday.
Three other people in the car were injured along with the male driver of the truck and two passengers ages 3 and 5.
Police say the teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died. His name hasn’t been released.
The other people had minor to serious injuries and authorities say they all are expected to recover.
Police say the crash is being investigated, but it appears the 30-year-old driver of the pickup truck wasn’t impaired.
