American Legion Post 122 was presented an award for Community Service at its monthly meeting on Friday, June 15. The award was presented by David Boily, the District 8 Commander along with Ken Johnson, the Vice Commander of Area C.

If you look around at events, especially community service events, there is often a member of Post 122 helping out. While the post has 30 members, many are inactive due to age. That leaves a few active members that get out in the community to serve. They work at food programs, hospitals, children’s services, scouts, and many other places throughout the county.

Congratulations to Post 122 on a great job of serving the community.
