Editor:

Kudos and thank you to Hobby Lobby for the full page ad on July 1. If that message were repeated and believed by this nation, what a different place we would be! Instead a ‘lie’ has been repeated and believed for decades that has changed the tenor of this land. That lie — that we must have separation of church and state, based on the false interpretation of a letter by Thomas Jefferson, has even led to the expulsion of the Ten Commandments from the public square! Even if people don’t believe in the one true God, obedience to the law He gave, “thou shalt not steal, kill, covet, lie, commit adultery, etc.” would bring a great healing to our land. Instead, we have moral relativism, political correctness, divisions, intolerance of other’s ideas, and chaos.

We need to return to the ideals the founding fathers believed and acted upon: the Constitution. We, indeed, were founded on Christian principles, which have made us the greatest nation on this earth. Because we are denying that fact we are rapidly heading toward third world status. I pray it’s not too late to return to our roots, regain common sense and civility, and once again become the “United” States of America. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord!”

God Bless America!
