Fire Engineer Jeremy Sarge was awarded the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Fire Safety Commendation Award on June 16, by the Prescott chapter, in recognition of his selection as the 2018 Prescott Fire Department First Responder of the Year.

Jeremy distinguished himself over the past 12 years as a firefighter, fire engineer (driver) and most importantly paramedic. He is a former Granite Mountain Hotshot. Prescott Fire Chief Dennis Light states that Jeremy is committed to the highest order of “servant leadership.”

The Prescott Chapter congratulates Jeremy and wishes him continued success in his choice profession of protecting our community.

More than 45 people attended the meeting at Guacamaya’s Mexican Grill. They came to honor Jeremy Sarge, engineer of the Prescott Fire Department.

The guest speaker was the honorable Craig Brown, Yavapai County Board of Supervisors (District 4).
