Letter: Roads

Editor:

I am confused about the roads discussed in the article on fires. I assume the roads run from Coyote Springs west to View Point. If that is true and they are easements, then they should be taken over by the county for emergency reasons. I am sure each property owner along them would be happy to have the county grade and gravel their roads and place a gate between both North South roads to stop the daily traffic.

Instead of saying it can’t be done why not ask the people. The real reason most of us that live out here do not like people driving our private roads is because we pay to keep them up and what we see is someone’s kid on an unlicensed vehicle driving around tearing it up. Just try to get a police response. This needs to be worked on and I have already sent a letter to board asking to put together a committee of HOA and neighborhood individuals along with someone from their office to work on this.

Just in our small area we pay well over $500,000 combined in property taxes and get little to nothing for it. The one time as a group we ask for something we get told no, very unacceptable. We might have been talking to the wrong people and need to hook up with those that think looking after people’s safety is important.
