Obituary: Susan “Shedd” Lemieux
Susan “Shedd” Lemieux, at the age of 81, died peacefully at home on June 26, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. Susan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduated college, and spent the majority of her life living in Tempe, Arizona.
In addition to raising her three small children, Susan dedicated her life to helping others. She was a strong advocate for the aged and elderly, making differences in the lives of many through her work as a social worker supervisor of Maricopa County’s Adult Protective Services.
After retiring, Susan moved to Prescott, Arizona. She enjoyed the personality of this little town, often playing golf or visiting with special friends. However, Susan’s passion was traveling. She traveled to countries all over the world, returning with amazing stories about the culture and the unbelievable sights of these faraway lands.
As a respected member of the community, Susan sent countless hours doing volunteer work through People Who Care and the Prescott Public Library program Books on Wheels. She was always willing to go that extra mile for those in need.
Susan is survived by her three children and their families: daughter, Amy Hansen and children, Melissa, Mallory and Nicholas; daughter, Emily Lamparski, husband, Robert and children, Julia and Phaedra; son, John Lemieux and his wife, Lisa.
