Obituary: Golden Kartchner Brimhall

Friends, Neighbors, Townspeople; Golden Kartchner Brimhall was taken home to Heaven, without the benefit of wild horses, on Christmas Day, 2017. He was surrounded by loved ones and wrapped in the arms of his loving wife of 19 years.

Golden was born on April 18, 1972 to Jerry and Ruth Brimhall of Bagdad, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his toddler son, Logan and his grandparents Opal & Lee Brimhall and Lois & James Kartchner. Golden is survived by the love of his life, Bek (Rebecca Lawyer Brimhall) and their children Canyon and Aisley. Along with his parents, he is also survived by his sisters Sharon (Tom) Greenwood, Eileen (Jason) Zibart, Yvonne (Derek) Merrill, Leah (Larry) Owens, and Bridgette (Daniel) Barnett; brothers James (Wendy), Jonathan (Tessa), and Ammon (Christina) Brimhall, and 33 nieces and nephews.

Golden was a true “one of a kind” and is loved and will be missed by many, many people. He touched the lives and hearts of all who knew him. To many, he was hero and a legend. Golden was a real prankster, and well known for his great sense of humor. He loved to laugh and loved to spoil any child around, usually to their parents’ dismay.

A man of action, Golden was always filling a need when no one was looking. Golden was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, for whom he served a mission in England. He was a true servant of the Lord and never wavered in his beliefs. Golden’s first love was being a husband and father; he loved his family with all his heart. He was a wonderful provider, community leader, and loyal friend.

Golden grew up cowboying on his family’s ranch down in Burro Creek Canyon, and was proud to be a cattle owner and ranch manager. He loved everything about cowboying. He cherished his time there with his children and extended family. His influence at the ranch will be felt for many generations to come.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chino Valley, 441 W Perkinsville Rd. Viewing will be held one hour prior. Burial will be on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 at 11 in St. David Cemetery, St. David, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, please give to the LDS Missionary Fund. Condolences can be sent to www.greersmortuary.com
