Letter: Justice coming

Editor:

The Russia inquiries aren’t just about establishing whether President Trump broke the law, but also whether he committed misconducts that should be deemed impeachable.

“His lawyers are concerned that the President, who has a long history of making false statements and contradicting himself, could be charged with lying to investigators.” Their words (New York Times).

We’re ALL supposed to believe and trust this guy! So Trump, the World’s Greatest Negotiator, Mr. Art of the Deal, driven by his insatiable need for praise and reaffirmation does Fear the Truth.

But WHY? “This Russia/Trump thing’s a hoax,” isn’t it?

A legend in his own mind, Trump sums it up in a tweet: “Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart.”

Trump’s lawyers don’t simply fear he might lie to investigators, but that he helplessly cannot refrain from doing so even in trivial matters, and he probably feels he has serious reasons grounded in self-preservation to lie to them now because he has some really horrific things he will need to cover up.

There is no such legal thing as a “Perjury Trap,” all you ever have to do is just tell the truth.

There’s a Trump subpoena coming and his Grand Jury sworn testimony, just like President Bill Clinton.
