Mountain Valley Home for Health receives 2018 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award
Mountain Valley Home for Health, a service of Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Prescott Valley, has won the 2018 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award.
Press Ganey is an industry leader in measuring, understanding, and improving the patient experience, according to a news release.
Mountain Valley Home for Health earned the distinction by achieving the 95th percentile in performance for patient experience during each reporting period in 2017. The award is presented annually.
“The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in healthcare,” said Judy Baum, chief executive officer of Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. “We’re proud to have been honored for providing safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. We’re passionate about providing this level of care to the communities we serve.”
Members of the Mountain Valley Home for Health team provide continued clinical care and specialized therapies to patients as they progress from inpatient hospital stays to their homes. The team includes registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, medical social workers, and home health aides.
Some of its services include stroke and brain injury rehabilitation, fall prevention and home safety, wound care, and intravenous therapy.
